Boys Brigade

The second Stoke sub Hamdon Boys’ Brigade now meets weekly in Martock.

They play games, take part in competitions, learn to work as a team, have art evenings, go to camp and many more things. They are a uniformed Christian youth organisation and in Stoke sub Hamdon are part of St Mary’s Parish Church. The Boys’ Brigade is an international youth organisation found in over 60 countries.

Venue: The Hamdon Youth and Family Centre, West Street

Brownies and Guides are on Tuesdays during term time
Brownies from 6pm – 7.15 – Guides from 7.15 – 8.30pm
Guides are aged between 10 – 14 years.
Our programme for the term is displayed in the Memorial Hall entrance

Brownies are part of Girl Guiding UK and is open to girls aged from seven to ten years old. Being a brownie is all about having lots of fun and adventures and making new friends.

HYG meets on Mondays in the All Saints Hall Hall 7 – 9pm and at Norton Village Hall on Wednesdays (Stoke youngsters also welcome) 7 – 9pm, both for youngsters Year 6 and older. See also our facebook page ‘Hamdons youth group’.

The Training Band practises in the Bandroom on Thursdays between 3:30 and 4:15pm. Other times can be arranged. All ages and standards welcome. Instruments and tuition can be provided
