Stoke-sub-Hamdon Community Shop

Stoke-sub-Hamdon Community Shop was set up and is run and funded by the people of the village. We also have a Post Office service three days a week offering standard counter services.

We offer a wide range of groceries, confectionery, frozen foods, whole foods, vegan and free-from produce and household goods along with fresh bread from Bakery Roy-Al, unhomogenised Somerset milk from Bruton Dairy and meats from McAdam.

Services include:

  • free home delivery for people unable to get out and about or shielding
  • bread and newspaper orders and reservations
  • Payzone gas/electric top-ups and bill payments

Community Shop opening hours
Monday to Friday: 8am – 4.30pm
Saturday: 8am – 4pm
Sunday: 8.30am – 12.30pm

Post Office opening hours
Monday: 9am – 12 midday
Thursday: 1pm – 4pm
Friday: 9am – 12 midday
