Tiny Turrets opened in September 2013 and is located at Castle Primary School in a purpose built unit. We accept children from 2 to 4 years old from a wide geographical area. The unit also offers extended hours – opening for a breakfast club at 7.45 and closing at 4.15.
Tiny Turrets has a team of highly qualified staff who work hard to ensure that the planning meets the needs of the individual children. We have a fantastic outside area with artificial turf for all round fun and the children have “free flow” activities throughout the day, both inside and out. The children benefit from a wide variety of experiences including messy play, welly walks, cooking and outside visitors. Our aim is to provide a happy, safe and nurturing environment which enables each child to feel valued and to achieve their potential. We work closely with parents/carers, including sending home regular e-mails containing observations and photographs of the children, and regular “Stay and Play” sessions.
We ensure that all children who leave our setting are ready for school. They get the opportunity to spend regular time in the Reception Classroom where they join in with the activities and partake in small group games with the teacher. We have close links with the other schools in the area and work together to give the children the best possible transition into their Reception Year.
